November 11th, 2011 at 6:44 pm
@jaguarantony yeah, the 777’s engine is powerfull because they only have 2 engines and must carry a lot of people and cargo, not like 747s, 747s have a huge body but they have 4 engines

@xxJinraixx As SXM child I’m remembering that during the past most of pilots makes their T-O like that. Without Circular taxi at start of 09 (poorly now 10…) the American Airline pilots were well know to scramble their 757-200 a few only after the middle of the runway. Purely crazy… purely funny ! Now the well times get back, no more P-3C, Il-18D, Yak-42D, Caravelle, 707, DC-8 or 727.

A DC-10 and a 747 classic WOAH ! Does it get any better, maybe pyrotechnics lol but with wonderful aircraft like those I won’t complain.
November 11th, 2011 at 8:12 pm
The DC-10’s engines has the nicest sound among all those types of engines.
November 11th, 2011 at 8:38 pm
is it really normal for jets to spool up while turning in the runway??
November 11th, 2011 at 9:13 pm
@klmboeing17 The Cathay 747 had PW (Pratt and Whitney) 4056 Engines (They are to long compared to the GE CF6, And sound totally different in comparison), The Emirates Boeing 777-300 had GE90-115b Engines, And the DC-10 had GE CF6-6 Engines Fitted to it.
November 11th, 2011 at 9:28 pm
that 747 has not RR hese got GE
November 11th, 2011 at 9:56 pm
