    so much that you would have to take a mortgage out. Maybe not much help but sorry they are now a total ripoff.

    You will be stuck in traffic forever and as to Ashme well i guess that you got away lightly. I got a number of cabbie friends and thats not the sort of fares they would quote.

    A 15 min journey usually costs about £8.. I’m no good at maths but Last night I took a taxi from Oval to Shorditch.. which took about 20 mins- that cost me £10.. plus the meter started on £1.50. They really are not that expensive- trust me I’m forever waving em down. So your looking at about £4.80 every 10 mins

    the last time i got a cab in London it was about £2.80 per mile. I think it’s about £1.80 when you first get in then £2.80 then after.

    It’s priced by time and distance and as the traffic is so bad in central London you will clock up a big fare just sitting in traffic.
