There’s a scene afterwards showing how Iris’ Parents are grateful for re-uniting her with them, and we’re shown various newspaper clippings that give a strong impression that he has been (or is being) idolized by the public for his ultimately cleansing act. In his Martyrdom to cleanse the world, he sends a young girl home to her parents – freeing her from her pimps grasp.
Answer your question? Maybe it’s a scene on the DVD and not in the theatrical release.
